WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
Help Us Protect a Lifeline for Our Community
C.H.I.L.D Training Academy is a mental health and wellbeing charity based in the heart of Belfast City Centre.
Every day, we provide a safe and supportive space for young people to improve their physical health, develop resilience, and strengthen their mental well-being.
We can now accept online donations using one of the safest payment gateways in the world. We fully appreciate any donation that we receive.
Therefore, in advance thank you for your support.
Right now, we’re facing a major challenge.
DUE TO RISING COSTS,
WE NEED TO MOVE PREMISES
As a small charity with no core funding, we rely entirely on donations, grants, and community support to keep our doors open. Without your help, we risk losing the central hub that so many young people depend on.
Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference in securing our future home and ensuring we can keep changing lives.
Please support us today:
With your support, we can continue to:
01
Provide a safe space for young people to train, learn, and grow.
02
Deliver programmes that improve mental health, fitness, and social wellbeing.
03
Support youth organisations and community groups across Belfast.
Challenges Faced By Our Charity
In recent years, the charity has encountered a series of significant challenges that have tested our resilience and commitment.
We have had to navigate the difficult period of the COVID-19 shutdowns, which required extraordinary effort and determination from everyone involved to ensure the continuation of our vital services.
Rising Operational Costs.
Alongside the impact of the pandemic, we have also had to address the issue of increasing energy prices. This has placed additional strain on our resources, making it more challenging to allocate funds effectively and maintain our operations at our expected standard.
Escalating Building Management Fees.
Furthermore, over the past two years, we have been confronted with unjustifiable rises in building management costs. In several instances, these charges have increased by over 200%. This situation is both unsustainable and unacceptable, and as a result, we must take a stand and declare that enough is enough.
