Belfast Child has not only enabled young people to engage in health and fitness opportunities, it is a safe shared space that allows much more than just physical well being, it has supported young people on their personal journeys particularly helping with promoting positive mental health. One young women who attended says “ It helped me feel more in control of my emotions and helps get my aggression out”. A fantastic centre for young people.

Get Connected Youth Mentor (Workforce)
A hidden gem. As a Youth Mentor at Workforce Training Services I have found the Belfast Child Gym to be an amazing facility for the various groups of young people I work with on a daily basis. As part of our Healthy Living programme we use sport and fitness to promote social inclusion. Attending the Gym in six week blocks, incorporating a mixture of Fit Fun games, Circuit Training and Boxing Drills – getting fit while having FUN has been invaluable for our young people!

A welcoming, safe, well equipped gym that is perfect for our young people. The Gym has played its part in helping to raise aspirations, develop confidence and lead a healthier lifestyle amongst our trainees. Its great seeing optimistic young men and women.
A big thank you to David and the team.

Transition 2 have been visiting Belfast CHILD gym since October 2016. From this there has been a big transformation in our group, both in fitness and confidence. Through Belfast CHILD the group has tried things they would never have tried before and found what they enjoy to do for exercise and that everyone is different in what they enjoy. Stemming from our weekly visits to Belfast CHILD we have started discussing the benefits of exercise. The coaching in Belfast CHILD is amazing and tailored to every individuals needs. I would highly recommend this gym to any group as it's great motivation to exercise whilst enjoying themselves.
